Microsoft Volume Licensing offers customized programs for certain industries. These programs offer simple, flexible, and affordable solutions that are tailored to the size and purchasing preference of your organization, to enable you to manage your licenses with ease.
Microsoft offers four Volume Licensing programs for eligible educational institutions:
| • | Campus Agreement is a simple, subscription-based program that enables higher education institutions to purchase software licenses based on an annual count of full-time equivalent (FTE) employees. |
| • | School Agreement is a subscription-based program for K–12 schools and preschools. This program makes it easy to license all of a school's computers by counting them just once a year. |
| • | Open License for Academic is a flexible, cost-effective way for schools or colleges of any size to purchase software, starting with as few as five licenses. |
| • | Select License for Academic is a flexible, volume-based program designed for institutions that have 250 or more computers and that can forecast their software needs during a three-year period. |

The Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Royalty Licensing Program offers ISVs a convenient way to integrate Microsoft licensed products into software business applications, replicate the business solution, and distribute a fully licensed solution to customers. ISVs are organizations that exclusively develop software or software solutions, rather than manufacturing hardware that is part of a computer system.

The Microsoft Services Provider License Agreement (SPLA) enables services providers and ISVs to license Microsoft licensed products on a monthly basis over a three-year agreement term and to use these products to provide software services and hosted applications to their customers. The SPLA is ideal for your business if you offer your customers Microsoft server licensed products—such as hosted Web sites or line-of-business (LOB) software applications—or software services that interact with Microsoft licensed products.
