Volume License Keys: Open Subscription License Customers

Volume Licensing CDs (Microsoft product CDs that you purchase through your reseller and the media you receive in your Welcome Kit and update kits) are the only media available for multiple installations under the terms of an Open Subscription License agreement. Volume Licensing CDs no longer include a product key (previously printed on the CD packaging). To use Volume Licensing CDs, you will need to acquire a Volume License Key; retail media will not accept Volume License Keys.
When you install a product by using Volume Licensing CDs, you will need a 25-character product key. Use the appropriate Volume License Key instead of using the product key that was previously located on the Volume Licensing CD packaging. These special Volume License Keys facilitate multiple installations from a single Volume Licensing CD. You will not be able to install a product from a Volume Licensing CD without this Volume License Key.

Volume License Keys are available on the Microsoft Volume License Services (MVLS) Web site.

You can also obtain your Volume License Keys by contacting the Microsoft Activation Center for your region. You will need to do the following:

Russian and Ukrainian Language Open or Select Customers
When you purchase Microsoft MSDN media under your Open or Select License agreements, the media will include a product key; however, this product key should not be used for multiple installations. Contact your license administrator to obtain the Volume License Key that you will need.
Volume License Keys for Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Microsoft Office 2003 are available from the eOpen Web site.
