| A. | The number of services days is calculated based on the number of licenses for Microsoft Office applications with Microsoft Software Assurance and the number of Core CAL suite and Enterprise CAL suite licenses with Software Assurance. |
| Q. | Which licensing programs are eligible to take advantage of Desktop Deployment Planning Services? |
| A. | The Packaged Services benefit (which includes Desktop Deployment Planning Services) is available to customers who have the following licensing programs: Open Value, Open Value Subscription, Select License Software Assurance Membership, Enterprise Agreement, or Enterprise Subscription Agreement. For more information, refer to the Microsoft Product List for Volume Licensing. |
| Q. | Can I use a Desktop Deployment Planning Services voucher to deploy Microsoft Windows Vista, or is it valid only for Microsoft Office? |
| A. | Yes, you can use a Desktop Deployment Planning Services voucher to deploy Microsoft Windows Vista. The services are designed to help you plan and deploy the full desktop, including Office and Windows. |
| Q. | How do I apply Training Vouchers to a Packaged Services voucher? |
| A. | After the Training Voucher and Desktop Deployment Planning Services benefits have been activated, you can convert unused Training Voucher days into Packaged Service days on a three-to-one basis (three Training Voucher days equal one Packaged Service day), limited only by the number of available Training Voucher days. This can be done on the Microsoft Volume License Services (MVLS) Web site. |
| Q. | Who is authorized to provide the Desktop Deployment Planning Services? |
| A. | The authorized service providers are Microsoft Consulting Services and approved Microsoft Certified Partners who have passed an exam that was specifically developed for this benefit. Service providers must have a valid Microsoft Certified Professional ID number. |
