Software Assurance is available only through Microsoft Volume Licensing. It is included with some agreements and is an optional purchase with others. Benefits vary depending on the agreement, volume, and type of licenses you purchase.
Enterprise Agreement (EA) includes Software Assurance and is the optimal Volume Licensing program for midsize and large enterprise customers with 250 or more devices and/or users.
Select Plus is designed for midsize and large organizations with 250 or more desktop PCs with multiple affiliates, and Software Assurance is an optional purchase.
Open Value is for organizations with as few as five desktop PCs and includes Software Assurance.
Open License is for customers who prefer a pay-as-you go model with Software Assurance as an optional purchase.
Campus and School Agreement is designed for qualified academic customers with a minimum 1,000 full-time equivalent employees or students and includes Software Assurance.
