Office Multi-Language Pack

Deploy a single Office 2007 image with support for 37 languages.

The Microsoft Office Multi-Language Pack enables IT to deploy a single Office 2007 image with support for 37 languages, while also supporting individuals who create or edit content in multiple languages.

Users can quickly change the user interface language for Office programs installed on their computer, access online and offline Help in their preferred language, and use a powerful set of document proofing and editing tools for multilingual document creation.

In addition, users can set the language for these resources separately to best suit their needs. For example, they can set the user interface to their native language and switch between languages for proofing and editing tools as they create a multilingual instruction sheet or bilingual newsletter.

Use the Office Language Packs to help your organization:

  • Create, edit and proof documents in multiple languages. Office Language Pack document proofing tools enable users to proof documents created in 2007 Microsoft Office programs in more than 37 different languages.

  • Collaborate more productively across different countries. With Office Language Packs, customers can easily switch the user interface and dialog boxes of Microsoft Office programs between different languages.

  • Get up-to-date help in your language. Office Language Packs enable users to read context-sensitive help in any of 37 languages, and to connect directly with localized Office Online Web sites to view help articles, demos, training, tips and tricks, and more that are continually updated.

Customer Success Story

PerkinElmer initially deployed Office Professional Plus 2007 within the IT department, and then broadened deployment to other departments. Using Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003, the Office Customization Tool, and the Office Compatibility Pack, the deployment team completed the first phase by deploying to about 1,200 employees in the United States and 800 employees in 20 other countries.

"This rollout has gone more smoothly than any prior Office suite deployment, thanks in part to the head start that employees are enjoying through E-Learning and other Software Assurance benefits."
