On July 1, Microsoft announced the retirement of the TechNet Subscription service to focus on growing its free offerings, including evaluation resources through the TechNet Evaluation Center, expert-led learning through the Microsoft Virtual Academy, and community-moderated technical support through the TechNet forums. Effective September 1, 2013, TechNet Subscriptions are no longer available for purchase through the TechNet Subscriptions website.

Identify TechNet Professional Subscriber
You get a single subscription that gives you full-version software for evaluation, complimentary professional support calls, online training and technical library, and early beta software.

When you use:
Activate TechNet Resources
Your Software Assurance Manager uses VLSC to identify TechNet Subscription benefit participants. Once identified, the TechNet Subscription team sends you your user account details and service information.
Use Extra Training and Support
Your TechNet Professional Subscription gives you access to complimentary, technical E-Learning courses. It also includes two complimentary professional phone support calls to help you increase uptime and resolve business-critical issues fast.
