Windows Thin PC enables Software Assurance customers to repurpose existing PCs as thin clients, thereby reducing the need for new thin client hardware. These PCs retain their existing Software Assurance coverage, so they do not need additional Windows Virtual Desktop Access licenses for VDI.

Excellent thin client experience
Windows Thin PC uses write filters to prevent data from being written to disk and provides users with a superior remote desktop experienced through RemoteFX, enabling delivery of high-fidelity multimedia content from centralized desktops.

Enterprise-ready platform
Windows Thin PC is built on the proven Windows 7 platform and includes Enterprise features such as BitLocker, AppLocker, and DirectAccess, which help you capture savings through improved asset management, policy control, and reduced support costs.

Windows Thin PC is a locked-down version of Windows 7. As a result, it will be able to run on any device that is capable of running Windows 7.

Manage Windows Thin PC images seamlessly
Windows Thin PC integrates into your existing deployment and management infrastructure, with built-in support for System Center Configuration Manager. Additionally, you can use the Windows Embedded Device Manager to help manage Windows PC patches and updates.
