Yes. There are two options for uprgrading Office for Mac Home and Student 2011 to Office for Mac Home and Business 2011.
Option 1: Purchase a Home and Business upgrade product key (only available in select countries)
Note: Office for Mac Home and Business 2011 upgrade product keys will only work if you already have Office for Mac 2011 installed. There are no version upgrade product keys for owners of Office for Mac 2008 and earlier versions.
Upgrade keys will need to be purchased for each install you desire to upgrade. For example, if you purchased Office for Mac Home and Student 2011- Family Pack, then three upgrade keys would need to be purchased if you want to upgrade all three installs.
To purchase an upgrade product key online (not available in all countries), do the following:
- Open Word (or Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and then on the Word menu, click Purchase Options.
- On the Microsoft Office Setup Assistant screen, click Purchase an upgrade product key online.

Purchase an upgrade product key by following the instructions online. You will need to be connected to the internet to purchase.
Note: If you do not see your country in the country list, upgrade product keys are not available in your country and you will have to purchase a full Home and Business 2011 product key from a participating retailer.

Option 2: Home and Business product key
Purchase a physical box of Office for Mac Home and Business 2011 online or at a retail store. Inside the package, you will find your product key.
After you have an Office for Mac Home and Business upgrade product key or an Office for Mac Home and Business 2011 product key, do the following:
- Open Word (or Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and then on the Word menu, click Purchase Options.
- On the Microsoft Office Setup Assistant screen, click Enter your product key, and then complete the instructions on the screens.
- To see any new functionality, close all open Office for Mac applications, and then reopen them.
