You can use the Account Setup Assistant in Entourage to automatically configure some of the most widely used e-mail accounts, such as POPA common type of Internet-based mail account. Examples are Windows Live Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail. After you add a POP account to Entourage, messages from the account appear in the folder list under On My Computer., IMAPAn acronym for Internet Message Access Protocol, a common type of Internet-based mail account such as AOL Mail and many others. Messages from these accounts appear in folders in the Entourage folder list, under the name of the account. Messages remain on the mail server, so that you can read them from any location., and Windows Live HotmailWindows Live Hotmail accounts are Internet-based mail accounts from Microsoft. Windows Live Hotmail accounts can be added to Entourage as POP accounts. . For Microsoft Exchange accountsAn account managed by Microsoft Exchange Server. Entourage supports POP and IMAP accounts, but your e-mail service provider may charge an upgrade fee for this access.
On the Entourage menu, click Account Settings.
Click the arrow next to New
, and then click Mail.
If you see the New Account dialog box, click Setup Assistant.
Follow the instructions in the Account Setup Assistant.

If the Account Setup Assistant is unable to set up your account, check with your e-mail service provider to see what type of e-mail account you have (POP, IMAP, Windows Live Hotmail, or Microsoft Exchange), and then set the account up manually.
