On the View menu, click Publishing Layout.
Click the Zoom Loupe tool

Zoom in
Drag right or down.
Zoom out
Drag left or up.
When you're done using the Zoom Loupe tool press ESC, click a different tool, or change to another view.
Zoom in and out with the Zoom Loupe tool
