WPF Reactor is a demo application that contains cool material and technical
content to get you started with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) right
away. It has a feature called
ToTster that allows you to save any information on a web page all from
within the browser. You can build up and aggregate your own WPF content as you
go. This demo is an exploration of Microsoft's latest Windows client platform
technology; WPF, Internet Explorer 8 and Live Services. WPF Reactor is a gateway
to more WPF whitepapers, hands-on labs (HOLs), samples and reference
applications. The contents component is called WPF-in-a-Box.
Here are some easy steps to take WPF Reactor for a test drive:
Full version (includes .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 Redistributable Package)
1. Download and install WPF Reactor (full) - 410MB
2. WPF-in-a-Box comes out of the box in this version.
Lite version
Note: The Lite version does not include the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
Redistributable Package, hence you need to have it installed prior to installing
WPF Reactor. We have also made the WPF Reactor and WPF-in-a-Box in 2 separate
downloaded packages. WPF Reactor is the client application that enables you to
retrieve saved information from ToTster. WPF-in-a-Box contains WPF whitepapers,
HOLs, samples and reference applications.
1. Download and install WPF Reactor (Lite) - 18.5 MB.
2. To access WPF-in-a-Box, download WPF-in-a-Box (158MB). In WPF Reactor, click WPF-in-a-Box feature, and click Install.
