All your favourite Windows Live tools now available on your mobile phone Kuala Lumpur, June 24, 2008 – Microsoft Online Services Group today announced that its Windows Live services are now available on-the-go for the 25 million mobile subscribers in Malaysia1. This will allow mobile users to have valuable access to a world of relationships, information and interests from their mobile device.
Windows Live for Mobile provides customers with a one-stop access to their favourite Windows Live services such as Windows Live Hotmail, Windows Live Messenger, and Windows Live Space. The new service gives consumers a quick and easy way to find the content and services they need while on-the-go and features new technologies that customise the experience for each consumer’s device.

Windows Live for Mobile is now available as a software client application on Windows Mobile devices, select Nokia N Series and E Series devices, as well as for other handsets with a mobile browser. Customers using Windows Live for Mobile will enjoy the following: - Windows Live Mail. Microsoft’s email service for mobile users allows customers to access and manage their Windows Live Mail account while on-the-go. Receive email updates, send emails, and update your contact list wherever you are simply by logging in with your existing Hotmail ID
- Windows Live Messenger. Windows Live Messenger allows users to stay in touch even when they can’t speak out loud – in meetings, loud concerts, etc. All the brilliant features users love about Windows Live Messenger on the PC are now available on their mobiles too, including contact status updates, text and voice messages, group chats, the power to send and receive files
- Windows Live Spaces. Update your space, post blog entries and upload photos and videos taken from a camera-enabled mobile phone while on the move. Stay in touch with the lives of your friends and families by subscribing to their blogs and reading them at your own convenience. Blogging has never been so easy

Windows Live for Mobile also offers value and opportunity for the mobile industry. The product was designed and tested with mobile operators in mind. Microsoft is also pursuing alliances with mobile operators in Malaysia to integrate Windows Live services so that they can leverage Microsoft’s investment and development work to bring an improved mobile Internet experience to their subscribers.
Windows Live for Mobile will run on mobile phones from nearly 50 device makers used by 160 mobile operators. Windows Live for Mobile services including, Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Mail and Windows Live Spaces, the world’s most widely used blogging service, are also used by device makers including HTC Corp., LG Electronics, Motorola Inc., Nokia, Palm Inc., Research in Motion Ltd. (RIM) and Samsung.
