3) How can I pay for my conference fees?
Individual or company payments can be made via:
- Cash
- Cheque payment by Posting, Mailing or Banking(Malaysian cheques only)
- Mail Order via Credit Card Payment(only Master, Visa and Amex are accepted)

- Telegraphic Transfer(only for foreign delegates)
4) When will the registration close?
All pre-event registration will close at 12 noon on August 7, 2008. On-site registration will be based on availability of seats.
5) Is there a deadline in which I need to pay for my conference ticket?
Yes, there is. Please refer to the Registration Fee Structure for a detailed listing of promotion periods and its relevant registration & payment deadlines.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
If payment is not received before your stipulated payment deadline for your promotion package, the price of your conference ticket will be increased to the current conference ticket price (the promotional price will no longer be applicable)
6) Is my seat confirmed once I register?
Your seat is reserved once you register. Confirmation of seat is upon successful registration (with Tech·Ed ID) only.
Once your payment has been received and verified, you will receive a confirmation email from the Microsoft Tech·Ed SEA 2008 Registration Center.
To guarantee your seat, the Registration Center must receive payment by the stipulated deadlines as stated under the promotional terms and conditions.
All delegates will receive a final notification via Email prior to the conference, instructing them of what they should do prior to registering onsite at the conference.
If, for any reason, you have reserved your seat but you do not turn up at the conference ( “No-Show”), you will be liable to pay the Standard Conference Fee of RM1,299(USD419) and still collect your conference materials from the Tech·Ed SEA 2008 Registration Center.7) What is "Sign In"? What can I add / modify during my “Sign In”?
Once you have registered online, you will obtain a Tech·Ed ID with a password via the ‘Acknowledgement of Registration’ email.
With the "Sign In" option, you may purchase Tech·Ed US DVD sets, print invoices and print receipts.8) Where can I print an invoice and receipt for my conference ticket?
E-Invoice
After you register, you will receive an "Acknowledgement of Registration" email from the
Microsoft Tech·Ed SEA 2008 Registration Center automatically. This email will contain your Tech·Ed ID & Password, which you will need to use for signing in. Once signed in, you may click on the “Option 2” button to print your invoice.
E-Receipt
Once the Microsoft Tech·Ed SEA 2008 Registration Center has received & verified your payment, you will receive a Confirmation Email. After which, you can Sign In to print out your receipt on the “Option 2” button.

All cancellations must be received in writing via email to the Microsoft Tech·Ed SEA 2008 Registration Center by the dates listed below:
- Cancellation: Please download the Cancellation Form and email it to the Microsoft Tech·Ed SEA 2008 Registration Center before June 30, 2008. Please note the refund policy.
- Replacement: Replacement is only allowed for attendees within the same organization only. Please download the Replacement Form & submit to the Microsoft Tech·Ed 2008 SEA Registration Center before July 15, 2008.
- Refund:Full refund minus RM150.00 processing fee when cancellation is received by 11:59P.M. on June 30, 2008. No refund is applicable after June 30, 2008.
- No Shows: Please note that “No Shows” are liable for the full conference fee of RM1,299 (USD419)

10) What do I need after I have registered?
After completing your registrations with the email you have provided us with, we will send you a final reminder email providing you with your Registration Information. Please PRINT and bring this information along with you, for a speedier registration experience.
If you are uncertain as to the status of your payment for your registration, please log into the system with your Email/LoginID and Password and check the payment summary in your account.
If you are having any difficulty accessing your account, please contact the Tech·Ed Registration Centre before noon of August 7, 2008.
IMPORTANT:The Registration Centre will not entertain any calls, emails or faxes from 12.01 PM on August 7, 2008.
11) What happens if I haven’t received approval from my company to attend? When is the last date & time I can register?
All pre-event registration will close at 12 noon on August 7, 2008. On-site registration will be based on availability of seats. For On-site registration, customers can walk-in personally and register at the standard conference fee of RM1,299 anytime from:-
- August 9 (Saturday) – 12.00pm to 6.00pm
- August 10 (Sunday) – 10.00am to 6.00pm
- August 11 (Monday) – 7.30am to 10.00am
12) What are the circumstances in which I will be required to sign OR bring a Letter of Undertaking?
In the case where the delegate’s company is unable to issue payment before the conference due to payment cycles, the delegate is required to bring a Letter of Undertaking (from his company, on a Company Letterhead) signed by an authorized officer of the organization, confirming that payment will be settled before August 22, 2008.

14) Access to the Microsoft Tech·Ed SEA 2008 Conference
All delegates will be provided with an access tag to the conference. Security will be tight, and delegates not wearing the tags visibility with be stopped.
If you lose or misplace your access tags, replacement tags can be purchased at the Information Counter, Level 3, (located at the Centre Core on Level 3), for RM30/- per tag.
15) What do I need to bring, to collect my Tech·Ed access tag?

16) Replacements

17) Microsoft Tech·Ed US 2008 DVD Sets – Sales (including delivery charges)
Delegates can purchase the Tech·Ed US 2008 DVD sets based on the published rates below. Due to the delay in shipment, the DVDs will be shipped to the mailing address you have provided during registration.

Should you wish to purchase the DVD sets onsite, please proceed to the Information Counter (located at the Centre Core on Level 3) to make your purchase, from Day 2 (August 12, 2008) onwards.
All delegates who have pre-ordered the DVDs will be required to settle their payment for their DVDs upon registration, onsite.
Delegates who need to update their shipping address should provide this information at the Information Counter no later than 2.00pm on August 14, 2008. Additional fees will be imposed for changes of delivery address after 2.01pm on August 14, 2008.
DVDs will be delivered within 2 weeks after the stocks arrive into Kuala Lumpur.
18) Are meals included in the conference package?
Lunch is provided at specified times, throughout the 4 day conference days for delegates only. Lunch venues will be communicated every morning, and signages posted to inform delegates of the locations.
You may also purchase snacks from the KLCCs’ food vendors on Ground Floor, Level 1, and Concourse Levels.
All food served in the convention centre is halal.
19) Where do I park?
In cases of replacements, please bring along a Letter of Replacement from your company stating the matter for verification.

As an alternative, you can also park at the open-space car parks around the KL Convention Centre, that charges a flat rate of RM6.00 to RM10.00 per entry.
HRDF Claims Information
20) Is Tech·Ed SEA 2008 HRDF Claimable?
Yes, but only under the Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB)’s Skim Bantuan Latihan (SBL) Scheme.
Registered companies (under HRDF) of the delegates that attend our conference can submit a claim, as long as the conference that they are claiming for comply with the conditions outlined in circular 9/2006.
Please refer to the conditions of the Claim at the PSMB Website, under Circular 9, Year 2006.
21) Microsoft Tech·Ed SEA 2008 is a regional conference organized by Microsoft Corporation, but is held over 4 days, with packed agenda that starts every day at 9.00am till 7.15pm. Will this factor itself disqualify Tech·Ed for employers trying to make a claim?
PSMB’s employers circular states that the conference should not be more than 3 days. In order for your conference to qualify, PSMB will consider your conference on 11 Aug and 14 Aug to be half day each.
