Dell and Microsoft have embarked on a comprehensive effort to offer real and better solutions for customers that span management of both hardware and software. As part of these activities, Dell will be enabling hardware management, while Microsoft will continue to develop management solutions that broadly deliver customer solutions. Dell's scaleable enterprise initiative is complementary with Microsoft's multi–year Dynamic Systems Initiative (DSI), aimed at reducing cost and complexity by more closely connecting developer and IT professionals throughout an application's lifecycle.
