Microsoft products drive the most value for our customers when they are deployed and supported well. As part of a broader commitment to both partners and our customers, Microsoft Services has a unique role within the Microsoft organization. Like a traditional professional services and support organization, Microsoft Services directly supports Microsoft customers in deploying and support technology. However, we also have the clear objective of building markets for our partners, supporting partners in their work with customers, and enabling them with the lessons we learn from real-world customer scenarios.

By focusing on the things that partners tell us they need most – information on how to deploy and how to best support our joint customers, Microsoft Services aims to increase the true value of our technology. We have a variety of tactics we use to execute on this objective: direct support programs for partners and our "Services Ready" program, which enables qualified partners on Offering scenarios and best practices build directly for our internal consultants based on experiences with Microsoft customers.
