Microsoft's Partners

How Microsoft Services teams with Partners to build customer successes

What is a Microsoft Partner?

A Microsoft partner helps Microsoft customers succeed by either extending the capabilities of Microsoft products or ensuring the productive use of those products.

To allow customers to find the right partners to meet their needs, Microsoft has designed its Partner Program around a set of competencies. Microsoft's Services Ready program complements these competencies, and allows our partners to further develop their skills in a variety of areas. Learn more about Microsoft's partner competencies.

Microsoft Service Ready program for partners

  • In association with the Microsoft Partner Program, Microsoft Services has launched the Services Ready program for partners. This is a fee-based program that provides Microsoft Gold Certified Partners with Microsoft services training and offerings focused upon key customer scenarios.
  • Services Ready offerings contain guidance and materials for partner consultants to directly apply in delivering solutions to their customers, and are built from real-world Microsoft consulting projects around the world.
  • Once partners achieve the criteria requirements of this exclusive program, they may present themselves as "Services Ready" for a specific technology offering.

What are the benefits of working with a Services Ready partner?

Partners' Readiness

Services Ready partners have full access to Microsoft Services offerings; deep, technical and delivery readiness provided by Microsoft Services. This enables them to apply best practices around Microsoft technologies to your particular business challenge:

  • Using Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) developed/validated tools, templates, guidelines and best practices
  • Leveraging knowledge from Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) training events

Customer Benefits include:

Microsoft Consulting Services has packaged its learnings from previous projects into implementation guidance & collateral which partners can leverage to reduce project risk.

  • Using a standardised deployment framework enables partners to focus more effort on those parts of the solution which are specific to the customer, thus improving the efficiency of delivery of the project and accelerating business results.
  • Building the project around a proven best practice based framework also has the advantage of helping clarify understanding between the customer, partner & Microsoft as to the project approach and deliverables, starting with initial consultation, through to planning and final delivery.
  • The Microsoft materials also provide a useful check-list throughout the course of the project, as to conformance with best practices.
