Browsing multi-language Web sites
Some Web sites offer their content in several languages. To view
these pages in your preferred language, you can add languages to your list of
languages in Internet Explorer, if you speak several languages; you can arrange
them according to their priority. If a Web site offers multiple languages,
content will appear in the language that has the highest priority.
| Example: MSN web site (http://www.msn.com)
is a multiple language Web site and setting the language order for content
browsing allows you to view windows update content on your preferred language. |

| Websites encoding and Arabic language |
Most Web pages contain information that tells the browser what language
encoding (the language and character set) to use. If the page does not include
that information, and you have the Language Encoding Auto-Select feature on,
Internet Explorer can usually determine the appropriate language encoding,
sometimes Internet Explorer cannot determine the appropriate language encoding
so you will need to set it manually.
| To turn Auto-Select on:
- On the "Page " menu in
Internet Explorer,
- Point to "Encoding" then make sure "Auto-Select" check mark is
marked.
| To select the encoding for the webpage manually:
If Auto-Select cannot determine the correct language encoding, and you know
what language encoding it should be, you can manually select it as below:
• On the "Page" menu in
Internet Explorer
• Point to "Encoding", and then make sure "Auto-Select" check
mark is unmarked.
• Point to "more", and then select the appropriate encoding.

| International Domain Names |
Internet Explorer 7 supports navigating to Uniform Resource
Locator (URLs) written in users' native languages e.g. Arabic language which is
critical for making the Internet truly international. Internet Explorer 7
permits navigation to Internationalized Domain Names (IDN) composed of Unicode
characters from all of the world's languages Including Arabic language. IDN
relies upon a standardized mechanism known as "Puny code" for encoding Unicode
domain names using only the ASCII characters that are permitted by the global
DNS system.

| Tabbed Browsing |
Browsing allows users to easily switch from one website to another inside one
Internet explorer Window by clicking the tabs at the top of the webpage frame
which supports displaying Arabic titles and the Arabic text inside the web
pages which is rendered correctly.

| Quick Tabs
Quick tabs is one of Tabbed Browsing features which allows an easy thumbnail
preview for all opened tabs in a single window, Quick tabs previews the Arabic
websites titles and content correctly in the thumbnail preview. |

| Favorites Center |
Favorites Center supports the Arabic language in all its components (to
Favorites, Tab Groups, Browsing History, and RSS Feed subscriptions) the user
can add Arabic titles and descriptions in the favorite's components.

| RSS Feeds |
detects RSS Feeds on sites by illuminating an icon on the toolbar. A single
click on the icon allows the user to preview and optionally subscribe to the
site’s feed, then be automatically notified as content is updated. Read RSS
Feeds directly in the browser, scan for important stories, and filter your view
with search terms or site-specific categories; RSS supports Arabic language by
default in all its features.

| Page Zoom
This feature allows the Arabic users to magnify the Arabic text where users can
magnify both text and graphics for a better view and browsing experience. |

| Search experience |
| Searching over the internet
Internet Explorer 7.0 supports searching for Arabic where users can write any
Arabic text in the search box and click on the search icon or press enter and
search will be done using the defined default web search engine

Arabic text search inside a webpage
Internet Explorer allows the user to search for the text inside the webpage, this can be done using the Find dialog (can be opened by clicking on Edit->Find (On this page) from the Internet Explorer Menu or by the shortcut key CTRL+F), By default Internet Explorer ignores diacritics, kashida , aleph hamza above, aleph hamza below, and aleph madda while searching for Arabic text in the web page, you can specific the Arabic text search from the find dialog with the following options:

| Match diacritic
| Specifies whether you want Internet Explorer to match diacritical marks while
searching for Arabic text.

| Match kashida
Specifies whether you want Internet Explorer to match kashida (tatweel)
characters when searching for an Arabic text.

| Match aleph hamza
Specifies whether you want Internet Explorer to match aleph characters with
hamza or madda when searching for an Arabic text.
For example, if you want to find a word that begins with aleph and specified
"match aleph hamza", then the word will not be matched if it begins with aleph
hamza above, alef hamza below, or aleph madda. If it is specified, you must
enter the correct form of aleph for a match.
