To Add Arabic Language:

  • Press Start Button.
  • Go to Control Panel.
  • Choose Regional And Language Option
  • Select Language tab (figure A-1).
  • Select Install File For Complex Script -> Press Apply



    Go to Advanced tab (figure A-2) -> Select Arabic Language Depend on the User location from the Drop down Menu.

2.1 Plus Alarm Clock & Areas That Support Arabic


Using Plus! Alarm Clock can schedule alarms that play music or audio content in Windows Media Player. User can set the alarm to wake or to make alert at any time and date with the favorite music or a special sound or a simple notification on your desktop.

2.1.1 Create New Alarm

Creating new alarm using the wizard, enable for the Arabic language user to add Arabic name for the name of alarm field in the wizard.

  1. Press windows Start button -> All programs -> Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition -> Plus! Alarm Clock
  2. from the main menu click on Alarm -> Create or using shortcut CTRL + R

2.1.2 Select the alarm music or sound

Select the alarm music or sound is the second step in the Create a new alarm wizard. This step asks the user to choose the music or sound that will be played in the alarm. Arabic user can choose from the WMP9 (Windows Media Player 9) Music library Arabic music filename to be used as alarm. Music files should be added first to the WMP9 Media library.

2.1.3 Completing the Plus! Alarm Clock Wizard

After finishing the alarm wizard, Completing the Plus! Alarm wizard is the last step for the new alarm wizard. This step enable for the Arabic user to show and review all the Arabic information added and specified such as, Arabic Alarm Name, Arabic Music File name used for the alarm Etc...

2.1.4 Alarms List View

When user had more than one currently running Alarm, user can use the alarm list view to review all the alarm listed. Arabic user can view the entire Arabic alarms name with the used Arabic Music Filename.

2.1.5 Alarm Name in the Sys-Tray

After creating an alarm and specify all the information needed for a new alarm such as name and sound file, user can simply point to the Plus! Alarm icon located in the windows Sys-Tray to know about the next alarm that will be activated from the tooltip that appear. Arabic user can see the Alarm Arabic names from the tooltip when pointing to the Plus! Alarm icon

  2. After going through all the new alarm wizard -> point with the mouse cursor to the Plus! Alarm icon located in the systray to bring up the tooltip for the next alarm.

2.1.6 Alarm POP-UP Window

When an Alarm is already set to be activated in a specific time and date, a small pop-up window appear in the bottom right corner of the window desktop showing the alarm name. Arabic user can see the Arabic name of the alarm and the Arabic music file

2.1.7 Sound option & Hourly Chime Sound option

One of the main Tab in the option dialog in the Plus! Alarm application is the Sound tab. Sound tab contain 2 main option that the Arabic user can use. One is the Sound option and it's used to let the user specify the default alarm sound file. Two is the Hourly chime sound, and it's used to let the user specify the chime sound that Plus! Alarm will be using hourly to be played. Arabic user can use Arabic music sound filename to be played.

2.1.8 Sorting Alarms by headers

The Alarms list view or the main page of the Plus! Alarm application, show all the Alarms that are currently used or already passed and so on. User can easily browse though the alarms list using the Headers located in the main application view such as (Alarm Name, Audio Settings, etc…) to sort the alarms in this list. Arabic user can use the sorting option in the (Alarm Name & Audio Settings) header to sort alarms alphabetically.

2.1.9 Multiple Alarms Pending

Multiple Alarms pending is an option designed to inform the user that there is more than one scheduled alarm is ringing, option can be accessed by clicking on the More… title in the popup ring alarm window. User can easily see all the Alarms ringing in this Dialog and be able to act with them all by Snoozing or by Turning off Ring. Arabic user can see the entire Arabic alarms name in this dialog.

2.2 Plus Analog Recorder & Areas that Support Arabic



Using Plus! Analog Recorder, gives the user to transfer music from your analog audio device, such as a record, cassette, eight-track, or reel-to-reel player, to digital music library on user PC. Analog Recorder steps through the process of converting music to digital format and then copies the digital files to Computer.

2.2.1 Review and name tracks

Review and name tracks is the third step in the Plus! Analog Recorder wizard. This Step Let the user specifies certain information such as Track Name, Artist Name, Album Name, and Genre of the Recorded Track. Arabic user can use this step to add Arabic contain to those needed information's.

  1. Press windows Start button -> All programs -> Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition -> Plus! Analog Recorder
  2. In the Adjust your Recording Level page, Select the desired recording devices -> Next -> after recording the desired sound content -> Next
  3. Write the desired information for every track -> Next

2.2.2 Saving music Tracks & Add Tracks to Playlist The forth step in the Analog Recorder wizard is the main settings that the user will configure with the recorded tracks. Two of those settings are to save music tracks to other location & add tracks to WMP Playlist. Arabic user can easily change the location that the tracks will be recorded to, to Arabic folder on the PC & select an Arabic name Playlist to save the tracks to.

NOTE: Arabic Playlist should be previously added to the WMP Media library to be able to retrieve them from the Analog Recorder application.

Steps:

  1. Press windows Start button -> All programs -> Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition -> Plus! Analog Recorder
  2. In the Adjust your Recording Level page, Select the desired recording devices -> Next -> after recording the desired sound content -> Next
  3. Write the desired information for every track -> Next -> Next
  4. in the Save music track to this location, Click on Change button -> Select the Desired folder -> OK
  5. in the Add track to WMP Playlist -> select the desired Playlist from the Drop down list -> Next

2.2.3 Saving Tracks Progress Screen

In the final progress screen of the Analog Recorder wizard, it shows the saving tracks progress showing the recorded tracks name. Arabic user can see the Arabic tracks name in the progress screen.

2.3 Plus Audio Converter & Arabic Support


Using Plus! Audio Converter user can optimize audio files by converting them to Windows Media Audio (WMA) files or MP3 files.

2.3.1 Convert Folder that contain media files

One of the 2 choices that Plus! Audio converter give for the user, is to convert an entire folder that contain audio media files. Arabic user can use this option to convert an Arabic name folder that contains Arabic media filenames by searching in this folder. After Audio Converter wizard finish searching in this folder for media files, Audio Converter list all the media files for the user to select from, which file he want to convert

  1. Press windows Start button -> All programs -> Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition -> Plus! Audio Converter
  2. Select one of 2 Choices (Convert a Folder of audio files Figure.14 or Convert Specific audio files Figure.15) -> Next
  3. Click on Add File button -> select desired music files -> Open -> Next

2.3.2 Output Folder

Output folder, is one of the options of the Conversion option in the Audio Converter wizard. User can select to save converter files to a specific location that he can choose rather than the same folder as the source file. Arabic user can choose an Arabic folder name to save the converted tracks to.

  1. Press windows Start button -> All programs -> Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition -> Plus! Audio Converter
  2. Select one of 2 Choices (Convert a Folder of audio files Figure.14 or Convert Specific audio files Figure.15) -> Next
  3. Click on Add File button -> select desired music files -> Open -> Next
  4. In the output folder area, click on Browse button -> Select the desire folder -> OK -> Next

2.3.3 Conversion Details

Conversion details dialog in the Plus! Audio Converter application, is designed to give the user the ability to review all the progress that have been done during the conversion process. Conversion Details button is highlighted when the Audio Converter application found an error during the conversion process. Arabic user can notice all the Arabic audio filenames in this dialog and save the generated log file with an Arabic .HTM filename. This HTM log file can be opened by the Internet Explorer 6.0 under Windows XP.

Steps:

  1. Press windows Start button -> All programs -> Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition -> Plus! Audio Converter
  2. Select one of 2 Choices (Convert a Folder of audio files Figure.14 or Convert Specific audio files Figure.15) -> Next
  3. Click on Add File button -> select desired music files ->Open -> Next
  4. In the output folder area, click on Browse button -> Select the desire folder -> OK -> Next
  5. Press Start Conversion button -> To reach dialog in Figure.17, there must be an error in the conversion process, such as in Figure.17 (Output File already exist) -> Press on the highlighted button Details
  6. if user want to save the log to an HTM file, simply -> Click on the Save Log button

2.4 Plus CD label Maker



Using Plus! CD Label Maker, user can design and print custom labels for compact discs (CDs), and inserts and booklets for CD cases.

2.4.1 Choose Your Content

Choose Your Content, is the first step of the Plus! CD label maker wizard. User in this step can choose the content of the CD such as media filename dragged in a Playlist or from an audio CD, that will be printed on the CD cases or on the inserts or in the booklets. Arabic user can choose Playlist already exists in the WMP media library, or from an audio CD that have Arabic content.

  2. When the CD label maker wizard Begin -> click Next -> in the Choose content page -> Select the Content that will be printed on the CD label from the WMP Playlists or from the CD's -> Next

2.4.2 Design your CD label (Add Title & Footer)

In the third step of the Plus! CD Label creator, user can customize the CD label the way he want, by adding content to the Title & Footer of the CD. Arabic user can add Arabic content to the title and the footer of the CD and preview them.

  2. When the CD label maker wizard Begin -> click Next -> in the Choose content page -> Select the Content that will be printed on the CD label from the WMP Playlists or from the CD's Next
  3. Select from the list the CD template -> Next -> Fill the needed descriptions such as Title & Footer -> Next

2.4.3 Design your CD label (Change Default Used Image)

User also in the Design CD label can change and add his own Background image instead of the default used image. Arabic user can simply add an Arabic picture file name to be used as background for the CD label.

Steps:

  1. Press windows Start button -> All programs -> Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition -> Plus! CD Label Maker
  2. When the CD label maker wizard Begin -> click Next -> in the Choose content page -> Select the Content that will be printed on the CD label from the WMP Playlists or from the CD's -> Next
  3. Select from the list the CD template -> Next -> In the background field, Click on Image Settings
  4. Click on the Use Image radio button -> Click on the highlighted browse button, select the desired picture to be used -> Open -> OK

2.4.4 Design your CD label (Edit Track list)

To reach this step by editing the track list for a CD, user must first choose a specific CD template that has a design like the CD's inserts. This design enable for the user to add the tracks to be printed on the Inserts of the CD. Arabic user can add Arabic text or content in the Edit Track list dialog.

  4. in the Track list field -> Click on the Edit button -> add the desired content -> OK -> Next

2.4.5 Preview CD Label before Printing

Last step in the CD Label creator is the "Print your CD label". User in this step can simply preview all the result of his process thought the wizard, by simply clicking on Preview button and the proceed to Print process. Arabic user can see all the titles and content that has added thought the entire wizard by just previewing it.

2.5 Plus Dancer & Arabic Support



Plus! Dancer displays a two-dimensional, animated dancer or pair of dancers on user's Windows desktop. User can start or stop the dancers at any time also can set the dancers to appear only when audio is detected or to appear all the time, even when no music is playing.

2.5.1 Select Dancer on Genre

User can select dancers to animate depending on the genre of the music genres of the Media library of the WMP9. Genres must be modified previously to the music of the WMP9 media library. Arabic user can select the Arabic name of the genres from the genre list in the Plus! Dancer application.

2.6 Plus Party Mode for Windows Media Player & Arabic Support



Plus! Party Mode for Windows Media Player turns user computer into a jukebox that user and guests can use to play music and other content from Windows Media Player Media Library, while still protecting personal files and other data on user's computer. User also can choose which content want to listen to, personalize the appearance and features of the Party Mode window, and use the Party Mode privacy option to restrict access to your computer.

2.6.1 Specify your party Mode settings (Select Content)

To begin on party mode, user must first, specify some settings before beginning on party mode. One of those settings is the Now Playing Options. This area contain an option that user must specify which are the content that will be played in the Party Mode. Arabic user can select from the Content drop down menu the music files that will played sorted by Playlists, Artists, Genres & Albums.

NOTE: Music files & Playlists should be previously added to the WMP media library.

2.6.2 Specify your party Mode settings (Marquee Options)

Marquees in Plus! Party Mode is designed to be displayed in the party mod e along with the music or the videos that is been played to entertain guests. Arabic user can simply add & edit Arabic text marquee can show up during the party mode.

2.6.3 In The party mode view (Add Marquees)

After starting the party mode, and enter the party mode view, User or guests can change and add marquees. Arabic user can also add and edit Arabic text to be displayed in as marquees for the party mode.

  2. After Starting the party, Click in the marquee text box area, add the desired text -> then click on the button to add the marquee

2.6.4 In The party mode view (Select Media Files)

Guests and User can also select which media files to be played from the Party Mode view by pressing on the Playlist button to show the Playlist pane, and choosing from the drop down menu the desired content to be played. Arabic language user can see the Arabic music files & Content from the drop down list in the Playlist pane.

2.6.5 In The party mode view (Media Files information)

When a media file is played in the party mode view, some information such as Album name, Artist name & Song Name about the file that been played shows up in a spot of the screen of the Party view (Depend on the used themes of the Party mode).

Arabic user can notice the Arabic information for an Arabic music file.

2.7 Plus Photo Story & Arabic Support



Plus! Photo Story helps you to create exciting video stories from your pictures that you can share with family and friends.

2.7.1 Import and arrange your Pictures

First Step to begin on creating a new photo story movie in the Plus! Photo story wizard, is selecting the images that will be used in the Photo story movie. Arabic user can import Arabic pictures filenames to be used in the Photo story movie.

2.7.2 Add a Title Page Step (Title & Description)

Add a title page is one of the important steps in the Plus! Photo Story wizard. This step let the user provide some information to be added to the photo story movie such as title & Description. Arabic user can add Arabic test to those 2 fields to be displayed in the photo story movie.

2.7.3 Add a Title Page Step (Background Image)

Also user can add a background image to be displayed on the title page. Arabic user can use an Arabic image filename to be displayed as background.

2.7.4 Add music

After being through all the steps of the photo story wizard, user can optionally add an audio filename to be played in the background of the photo story movie and also configure the sound volume level of the music background. Using Arabic music filename is supported by Plus! Photo story.

  3. Checkbox on Add Background music to your story -> Click on the highlighted Browse button -> Select the desired music file -> Open

2.7.5 Save your story

Saving Story is the last step to finalize the photo story movie, in this step user is asked to provide a name for the photo story movie. Arabic language can be used to add Arabic filename for the photo story movie. Snap shots (33, 34, 35) is showing the steps of saving the photo story movie till the end of saving process. Snap shots show the process of saving in 3 Steps.

2.7.6 Play Existing story

If user have more than one photo story that have been created by the Plus! Photo Story, user can simply retrieve these files from the Plus! Photo story application by clicking on Play existing Stories from Media Library and then select the desired photo story to be played in the WMP9. Arabic user can see all the Photo story Arabic names in the existing stories dialog.

3. Arabic Limitation

Plus! Digital Media Edition, Have limitation for the Arabic language. The Limitation is that the Plus! Digital Media Edition does not run on the Windows XP Arabic Localized, it refuse to work on it, and gives an error message says "Setup.exe failed launch"
