Introduction to Language Packs for the 2007 Microsoft Office system

The Microsoft Office Multi-Language Pack 2007 is an add-in product that can change the entire user experience of 2007 Microsoft Office applications, by enabling each desktop to support different languages including the Arabic language. This includes Menus/User Interface, Help, Dictionary, Thesaurus, and Spell Checker. In addition user can choose to use some of the options of the pack, such as the spell checker to proof a document in the Arabic language other than the default language set on their computer

Single Language Pack (SLP) for single user

A Single Language Pack (SLP) enables a user or organization to add one language for user interface to their base 2007 Office language deployment and to easily switch between them. For Example Arabic user could simply buy the SLP for Arabic language for 2007 Microsoft Office and use it to switch between the Arabic and English language only.

Multi-Language Pack (MLP) for Organizational users

A Multi-Language Pack (MLP) is the same as the SLP or the single user language pack, but instead it enables a user or organization to add all the capabilities to their base 2007 Office System deployment with up to 38 different languages including the Arabic language.

Microsoft Office 2003 proofing tools and 2007 Office System Language Packs

Proofing Tools for Office 2003 are an add-in software package for Microsoft Office 2003 suites that installs language tools for over 37 languages for that client. It does not change the user interface or the help system, instead it simply enables the client to write and proof in different languages while maintaining the user interface language of the original product. Proofing tools could only be purchased as a suite of languages. Microsoft did not sell individual language packs.
