Introduction:
With a fully Arabic language localized interface design and functionality, Office InfoPath 2007provides better integration with other 2007 Microsoft Office system programs and servers. With Office InfoPath 2007, you can create and deploy electronic forms solutions to gather information efficiently, which helps improve the way that you collect, organize, and manage data.

System Requirements:
To use Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007, you will need:

Outlook 2007 required for email-based collaboration. Sending forms as email messages requires Outlook 2007. Conversion of Word documents requires Word 2007. Conversion of Excel documents requires Excel 2007. Office SharePoint Server 2007 required for browser-enabled InfoPath forms and additional collaboration functionality.

What is the Arabic language support?
We mean by Arabic language support, the support added to the product to enable handling of Arabic data, and to ensure that Arabic data can be saved and retrieved successfully in Arabic InfoPath 2007 environment. In this document we will try to cover how to work with Arabic environment, and the level of Arabic support in InfoPath 2007.

Features Arabic Support:
Designing form templates
The following features make it easier for you to design form templates.
New and improved controls
Office InfoPath 2007 includes new controls; the following list describes some of these improvements and additions:
- Combo box control This allows users to type an entry or chooses one from a list and can display the Arabic data correctly and the expected reading order.
Insert a combo box
- On the form template, place the cursor where you want to insert the control.
- Click More Controls from the Insert menu.
- Under Insert controls, click Combo Box.
- Multiple-selection list box A control that allows users to select more than one item in a list of check boxes and can display the Arabic data correctly and the expected reading order.

- On the form template, place the cursor where you want to insert the control.
- Click More Controls from the Insert menu.
- Under Insert controls, click Combo Box.

Import and export options
If you use forms in Microsoft Office Word or Microsoft Office Excel, and you want to convert those forms into InfoPath form templates to reach InfoPath features as field text, you don't have to re-create them on InfoPath and which supports displaying Arabic data inside the form.
May be you face a small problem alignment when you import your document or workbook.
Steps:
- Close Word document or Excel sheet you want to import.
- On the File menu, click Import Form.
- In the Import Wizard, click InfoPath importer for Word documents or Combo Box.or InfoPath importer for Excel Workbooks, and then click "Next".
- Click Browse.
- Locate and click the Word document or Excel sheet that you want to convert, and then click Open.
- ClickFinish.

Reusable template parts
Create your own custom template parts to achieve a standardized, consistent design for a collection of form templates and they are all available in Arabic version.
Insert a template part
- Place the cursor on the form template where you want to insert the template part.
- Click More Controls on the Insert menu.
- Under Custom in the Insert controls list, click the name of the template part that you want to insert.
More options for designing views
- Read-only views create a read-only view when you want to summarize form data for users, and you don't want them to change that data, user is also able to view that contain Arabic data without any problems.
Steps:
- On the view menu, click Manage Views
- Under Actions, click Add a New View.
- In the Add View dialog box, type a name for the view, and then click OK.
- In the Views task pane, click View Properties.
- Navigate to the General tab.
- Under View settings, select the Read-only check box, and then click OK.
- Printed views In the new Print Multiple Views dialog box, you can specify exactly which views can be printed for your users, as well as the order in which those views are printed, and the user can use this feature in Arabic localized version easily without any problems.
Steps:
- On the view menu, click Print Multiple Views.
- In the Views list, select the check box next to each view that you want Microsoft Office InfoPath to print by default whenever users click the Print button in their forms. Views are printed in the order in which they appear in this list.
- To move a view up or down in the print order, click the view that you want to move, and then click Move Up or Move Down, respectively.
- If you want a horizontal line or other separator to print between each view, select an item in the Separate views with list.
- To prevent users from changing your print settings, clear Allow users to change these settings check box.

Design Checker task pane
The Design Checker task pane detects design problems that may be present in your form template; the Design Checker task pane provides detailed information about each problem. The Design Checker can display the Arabic detailed information about each problem correctly in and with the expected reading order.
To check the form template for problems:
- Click Design Checker from the Tools menu.
If there are any design problems with the form template, you will see errors and messages in the Design Checker task pane.
- In the Design Checker task pane, click the text of the error or message you want to review.

Support for IRM
Office InfoPath 2007 supports Information Rights Management (IRM), this feature is full localized in Arabic version which allows you to specify access permissions to forms and form templates. For example, you can specify that users can read a form template but can't print it or forward it in an e-mail message.
Steps:
- Click on File from toolbar menu, point to Manage Credentials.
- Select the Restrict permission to this form template check box, and then assign the access levels that you want for each user.

Hijri Calendar
InfoPath 2007 can view dates that follow the Hijri calendar, although the Hijri calendar was not supported in InfoPath 2003.
Steps:
- Insert a date picker on the form template.
- Double-click the date picker that you inserted on the form template
- Click the Data tab.
- Under Default Value, click Insert Formula

- In the Insert Formula dialog box, click Insert Function.
- In the Categories list in the Insert Function dialog box, click Date and Time.
- In the Functions list, click today, and then click OK twice to return to the Date Picker Properties dialog box.
- ClickOK to return to the form template.
- Click Preview from the Standard toolbar.

Filling out forms
InfoPath e-mail forms
Office InfoPath 2007 is designed to work seamlessly with Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.
- Fill out and submit data In Office Outlook 2007, users can open, fill out, and submit InfoPath forms that were sent to them as e-mail messages which supports displaying the Arabic text inside the text field which is rendered correctly. They can also reply to or forward the forms, just as they can with any other e-mail messages

Forms for InfoPath 2003
You can save your Office InfoPath 2007 form template in a format that is compatible with InfoPath 2003, if some of your users still use Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 and it's available in Arabic language.
Steps:
- On the File menu, click Save as.
- In the Save As dialog box, specify where you want to save the form template.
- In the Save as type list, click InfoPath 2003 Form Template.
- Then click Save.


Improved proofing tools
The 2007 Office InfoPath spelling checker includes the post-reform Arabic dictionary.
To use this feature simply follow these steps:
- On the Tools menu, Click Spelling.
- Then click Spelling Options, expand dropdown list's Arabic modes then select any mode you want.


Currency Format
InfoPath 2007 can display all currency symbols that follow for Arabic region.
How to add currency symbol
- Double-click the text box control whose data you want to format.
- Click the Data tab.
- Ensure that the Data type list displays the appropriate data type, and then click Format.
- In the Format dialog box, click Currency and then in the Currency list, select the type of currency that you want to display.
