This competition was meant to provide an outlet for university students to explore technological and artistic interests outside the classroom. It represented one of many ways in which Microsoft is enabling Jordan's community of students to realize their full potential.

On April 2004 Microsoft Egypt has announced a competition between students in universities located in Egypt. The competition is about creating Egyptian Windows Theme that works on Windows XP editions. The best 5 themes from the submitted ones will win an amount of 500 US dollars for each theme.
