University collaboration: (American universities in Dubai (AUD) and Sharjah (AUS))

We contacted the American Universities in United Arab Emirates in Dubai and Sharjah; to have some students that speaks Persian (Farsi) as their mother tongue language to help us working and testing Office Farsi LIP.

We choose the best of these students, and taught and explained to them all the processes needed to finish the project. The processes included Testing, Reviewing Language linguistically and other.

Points covered by the students:

• Testing Office 2003 Farsi Interface Pack
• Following designated test plan to cover all testing areas.
• Filling bugs into bugs database.
• Reviewing fixed bugs, and check the fixes for consistency.
• Creating Farsi spelling checker for Farsi LIP by:
  • Gathering Farsi information from the internet, covering most of the fields. (Such information was more than 25.000 words)
  • Importing the information into the speller database.
  • Reviewing and correcting the information from within the database.
