Goksin Bakir

Goksin Bakir is the founder of Yage Ltd., a software company based in Istanbul, mainly dedicated to vertical manufacturing markets and consultancy.He acts as the Chief Software Engineer for Yage. He also works as a part time faculty for Bogazici University, MIS department.

Besides his experience of over 15 years in IT Industry, Goksin is the Microsoft Regional Director for Middle East and Africa.MSDN Regional Directors are independent 3rd party advocates of Microsoft technologies whose mission it is to inform, educate and congregate the Windows development community.

Goksin also acts as the Regional Manager for INETA Middle East and Africa. He is in the INETA Speakers Bureau and has spoken to many groups worldwide.

Goksin’s main areas of interest are Microsoft technologies and software architecture. These technologies are .NET Application Development, Security, internet / intranet application architecture and B2B application Integration. He has completed many projects with his teams, His recent work include Enterprise solutions on .Net technologies.

Goksin is a frequent speaker at international conferences and Seminars like Teched, MDC, PDC, NDC. He also contributes to IT publications like PC Week, IT Weekly.He also has many excellence awards from leading software and IT companies.


Eyad Ghosheh

PMP, MCT, MSF Practitioner, MCSD.NET, MCAD.NET, MOS Project, and MCP.

Eyad Ghosheh is the secure business solutions unit manager at CompuBase International who founded CompuBase – CQcrypt and CompuBase – Businessicon. He has a BS in Computer Information Systems from Al Ahliyya Amman University. Eyad is the cofounder and vice president for the first .NET user group in Jordan (Jordev) and was lucky to have the opportunity to be among the first certified trainers who delivered .NET training in Jordan since 2002.Eyad has an extensive experience with MS SQL server since early versions. He has developed several enterprise applications using MS SQL server as the database engine and delivered as well training over MS SQL server for the last 7 years.

Blue Energy for Advanced Technologies BEAT

His career at BEAT involves business analysis, market research, and conducting training workshops for Microsoft upcoming technologies. He used to be Amman Private University .NET Club President for 3 years; now he is Microsoft Jordan .NET User Group Jordev webmaster, and public relations lead, aiding in organizing local events, and presenting Microsoft technologies to Jordanian students and IT professionals.

Through his passionate journey for exposing Microsoft technologies to the Jordanian public, he managed to organize more than 60 events at Amman Private University, and distribute hundreds of DVDs, Further more he managed to lead a team of students and IT professionals into organizing Microsoft Academic Day event in Princess Sumaya University for Technology where IT professionals and students were given the opportunity to present Microsoft upcoming technologies by themselves to the public.

He provided technical help and consultation to dozens of students from beginning to end of their graduation projects, his belief and faith in the Jordanian students competency helped in distributing the culture of Microsoft .NET, licensed software, and in leveraging the level of software quality produced in graduation projects throughout the kingdom.

In his spare time he spends endless hours exploring Microsoft WinFX SDK, blogging over Road to WinFX and browsing Channl9 forums, interacting with the community and answering any questions regarding the technology.

At the moment he is enrolled in a master’s degree program majoring Business Administration, Minor Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. In addition he is writing a guide that aims to spreading the concept of team work, cooperation, and planning for students whom are trying to organize and run technology events in their universities. This guide will be distributed free of charge to Microsoft .NET Club champs and committees in Jordan.


Majed Akl

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Communications Engineering at the American University of Beirut.
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, USA.
  • Joined Microsoft in 99 as an IIS support engineer and quickly moved into an escalation role doing mostly low level debugging.
  • In 2001 moved to new role as a Solution Integration Engineer doing mostly debugging on cross Microsoft and Third party software.
  • In 2005 moved to Microsoft Eastern Mediterranean as a Technology Specialist focusing on Application Platform and development tools from Microsoft.

John Craddock

John Craddock has designed and implemented computing systems ranging from embedded high-speed industrial controllers through to distributed IT solutions. John works as a consultant providing services to industry leaders including Microsoft; he was a key player in the Government Gateway Project and is infrastructure architect for a web portal built on the .NET server technologies. In addition to his role as a consultant, he has written over 20 technical training courses that have been published worldwide.

He has recently co-authored “Investigating and Managing Objects and Attributes for Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows server 2003” (ISBN 0-9544218-0-9) which is part of the Active Directory Forestry series. John lectures internationally and has written and presented sessions on Windows 2000 and 2003 Active Directory at MTB, MEC, TechEd, IT Forum, JDP and deployment conferences.


Sally Storey
Consultant, Kimberry Associates

Sally Storey has worked in management and consulting in the IT industry for 12 years for both Novell and Microsoft. Sally works as a consultant on enterprise infrastructure projects in operations, logistics and deployment roles. Sally is ITIL qualified and co-authoring the Active Directory® Forestry series with John.


Abdelmalek Kemmou

Abdelmalek Kemmou (Malek) runs a consulting company based in Casablanca Morocco. He is a senior consultant, a skilled trainer and a leader of the developer community in North Africa, with many activities that span all Middle East and Africa.

Malek is recognized as an expert on Microsoft technology (certified on most Microsoft products and technologies: 23 MCP certification on last count), with a strong background on other technologies (J2EE, Perl,/Java C++, Cisco …etc, certified on some of those technologies).

He specializes in solutions architectures, development techniques, integration technologies and mobility. He has been behind many implementations of enterprise solutions based on Microsoft technologies and products, among which we can find: Biztalk Server, Content Management Server, SharePoint Portal Server v2, Office System Solutions, ASP.Net Web Services, Compact Framework, ASP.Net, .Net Framework windows applications, …etc.

Malek is a Microsoft Regional Director for Middle East and Africa. He speaks at many international conferences and seminars like TechEds, MDC, PDC, NDC, DevDays, TrustWorthy Computing Days, as well as many industry fairs and events …etc. He is also active in volunteer work with developer communities, including user groups, INETA, and many professional associations.


Rafal Lukawiecki


In his role as Strategic Consultant and Director at Project Botticelli Ltd Rafal is responsible for analysing, planning and forecasting the changes in the field of Information Technology. Through direct association with his clients, Rafal is working closely with teams of up to 150 software developers, as well as with investors and their boards of directors. This work allows him to practice the best principles of Microsoft Solutions Framework, and Microsoft Operations Framework – the secrets behind Microsoft’s and many other IT companies’ success.

Amongst his past experiences, Rafal was also one of the founders of Bot Inc., a Seattle software development company. In his other previous roles at Oxford Computer Group Ltd and at Aris Corporation Rafal gained extensive practical experience in consulting and professional technical speaking on a variety of subjects, which he continues to perform at Project Botticelli Ltd. His frequent keynotes and other speeches have been sought after by many company directors, CEOs and business leaders. These included many Microsoft TechEd conferences, Butler Group events and very prestigious addresses in a number of European countries upon their governments’ invitations.

More recently, Rafal has been invited to speak at a Bill Gates summit in front of hundreds of Europe’s prominent CEOs. Rafal specialises in four fields: study of programming models, security and cryptography, networking with IPv6, and project and operational management of IT. His work focuses mainly on: team building, management of software development ventures, designing successful IT support and operations, current and future software design patterns, eBusiness, Microsoft .NET strategy, IT security, OO development, and messaging.

In his spare time, Rafal has been writing a new book on Microsoft Solutions Framework aimed at its practitioners. Last but not least, amongst tens of professional Microsoft qualifications he has previously obtained the MCSE, MCSD, Internet, MCT and unique MSF Master Trainer endorsements. Rafal also holds an MSc in the Foundations of Advanced Information Technology from Imperial College, University of London.


Clemens Vasters

Clemens Vasters is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of the Germany-based developer services firm newtelligence AG. newtelligence is specialized in providing world-class developer education on Microsoft technologies as well as architectural consulting, architectural review and project coaching services. Clemens Vasters has over 14 years of professional experience as developer and architect, is the author of several books, principal architect of the Microsoft examples “Proseware” and “FABRIQ”, and is one of Europe’s most popular conference speakers on Microsoft technologies.

In 2004 alone, he spoke at over 50 events in 24 countries, including Microsoft TechEd USA, Microsoft TechEd Europe, the Microsoft Longhorn Developer Preview, and the Microsoft EMEA Architect Forum. Also this year, he received the Microsoft MVP Award 2004 as Solution Architect and the “Outstanding Microsoft Regional Director Award” for his contribution to the Microsoft Regional Director program. Clemens lives near Düsseldorf in Germany.



Ihsan Anabtawi

Ihsan is currently the Technology Specialist for the Public Sector vertical in Microsoft Jordan, focusing on eGovernment projects and implementations in the country. Ihsan largely focuses on Microsoft Application Platform technologies, and works closely with local partners on the specification and architecture of key software projects in the country. Ihsan Joined Microsoft around 2 years ago as a Business Process & Integration Technology Specialist based in the Saudi subsidiary - focusing on BizTalk Server, Host Integration Server, in addition to the .NET Framework and development tools. Before joining Microsoft, Ihsan worked as a professional trainer for MCAD/MCSD .NET and as a software developer at leading Jordanian companies and ISVs. Dawsar Zghoul

Dawsar Zghoul is the Chief Technology Architect at Softact - a leading IT training and technology enablement group. He has the responsibilities for the Microsoft leading-technologies curriculums, and has been working with clients on formulating .NET and Microsoft servers strategies in their organization. Dawsar is also the President of JorDev.NET, a usergroup that plays a major role in promoting the .NET technology in Jordan. He holds B.S Electrical Engineering from University of Jordan and is a Microsoft MVP and a speaker at several IT and developer events.




Evangelos Hadjichristodoulou

Evangelos Hadjichristodoulou is the president and one of the founders of Cyprus .NET User Group (CDNUG). CDNUG is a user group conceived and developed from the ground up by .NET developers for .NET developers. He has been working with HSData as a Senior Technical Architect for the past year. He is a goal-driven professional with extensive experience in Software Solution Development with emphasis on integration projects in the banking and government sector. He specializes in integration projects using BizTalk 2004 solutions. Involved in several BizTalk POCs and real life implementations including projects relevant to A4SWIFT accelerator. He has hands-on experience using PowerBuilder, VS2003, VS2005, WSE, BizTalk 2004 and SQL server. Enjoys experimenting with new features of BizTalk 2006, ASP.NET 2.0, SQL 2005, Windows Workflow Foundation, Windows Presentation Foundation and Windows Communication Foundation. Evangelos is an MVP, MCSD for .NET Early Achiever and a MCDBA.




Amin N. Muwafi
MCAD.Net, MCP and ProClarity Specialist

Graduated from Balqa’ Applied University in January, 2002 with the first ranking. Amin is a Senior Software Developer/Business Intelligence Specialist at Blue Energy for Advanced Technologies (BEAT). He has developed several enterprise desktop, web and BI applications during his career path.

Amin had the opportunity of delivering several .Net courses to different audience experiences in addition to ProClarity training for internal resources at BEAT. Amin is currently preparing for the last exam in order to achieve the MCSD.Net certificate.




Chad Z. Hower, a.k.a. Kudzu
"Programming is an art form that fights back"

Chad is the Regional Developer Advisor for Microsoft MEA (Middle East and Africa) and is responsible for 85 countries. Chad is a regular speaker at popular developer conferences worldwide and was once introduced as having "mastered more languages than a United Nations translator." Chad is the author of the book Indy in Depth and has contributed to several other books on network communications and general programming. Chad writes regularly for the Software Developer Network Magazine (Dutch), and occasionally for other magazines. Chad is an ex-patriate who currently lives in Istanbul, Turkey, but travels extensively year round.
