Microsoft showcases latest business and consumer technologies at COMIT Qatar 2006

Microsoft displayed the power of its latest solutions for businesses and consumers to visitors of COMIT Qatar 2006. Microsoft was a Special Sponsor of the show, the biggest event for the IT industry in Qatar, which ran from 8th – 11th April at the Qatar International Exhibition Center.

As part of its presence at COMIT, Microsoft and its local partners demonstrated solutions developed using Microsoft technologies, that are being offered to organizations in Qatar today, to help them boost their efficiency and productivity. Business users attended presentations on key solutions and IT issues, to learn more about the power of Microsoft solutions to enhance their operations. The stand will feature Microsoft Dynamics CRM and ERP solutions for business, and Microsoft server, portal and security solutions.

"The exhibition provides a unique showcase for the technology industry in Qatar, and is a great opportunity for organizations in the country to gain a deeper understanding about the benefits of ICT, and to help build a knowledge economy for Qatar."

The Microsoft stand also included demonstrations of new solutions for consumers, including Windows XP Media Center Edition PCs, Tablet PCs and Xbox. A shopper's area allowed consumers to pick up the latest Microsoft packaged software, games and Microsoft hardware products including wireless desktop sets and game controllers.

Visitors to the show also received free updates for their PC or laptop computer at the Microsoft stand, as part of the Tune Up Your PC Campaign. Microsoft technicians were on hand to tune up visitors' PCs and laptops.
