The mobile lifestyle is now one step closer for Kuwait residents, following today’s announcement of a joint partnership between telecommunications leader MTC-Vodafone and Microsoft Kuwait.

The full mobility solution offers secure accessibility to corporate applications and real-time "push" e-mail. As a result of the agreement, executives will now be able to receive Outlook, Calendar and Contacts listings on their mobile devices with real-time updates, along with the more familiar Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The push e-mail facility allows for the instant transfer of arriving e-mail to mobile devices connected over a wireless network.

Any business operating the Microsoft environment can benefit from the MTC-Microsoft special package for voice, data and device. The service is expected to boost productivity and enhance profitability for large and medium enterprises, particularly in the petroleum, financial, logistics, and transport and government sectors.

Companies currently using the Microsoft Exchange 2003 SP2 environment need only subscribe to the MTC offering to enjoy total voice and data mobility via their handheld devices. In addition to attractive rates on voice and data, corporate subscribers will also receive special prices on the Nokia E61 and i-Mate series.

In order to ensure a continuous mobility experience MTC has partnered with Info Center, Kuwait to offer business users 24 X 7 support through a dedicated call center number (2471861) for this campaign.

"Technology has become an integral part of our lives," said Rana Al-Rushaid, MTC Marketing Director. "In association and partnership with Microsoft, we tried to use that technology to better our lives, to help us live and work more productively."

Omar Draghmeh, Enterprise and Partner Group Manager (EPG) Microsoft Kuwait. Added: "We are proud to partner with MTC in offering this service aimed at making the lives of executives and business users easier in an era where technology has become invaluable for success and development. We are confident of the success of this service which will allow people to realize their full potential with the use of technology".
