Following the worldwide launch of the Internet Explorer 9, Microsoft Lebanon kicked-off
one the biggest IT event of the Year, on Thursday 29th September at Biel. The 2-day
event took place in the Presence of Microsoft General Manager for NEPA (North Africa,
Eastern Mediterranean and Pakistan), Lebanon Country Manager Ms. Leila Serhan, Thomas
Rizkallah Head of B2B, Nokia MEA , and attended by over 1500 IT professionals and
experts from all over the country.
The rich and new-technology laden event was an interactive and enriching experience
for the hundreds of attendees. Microsoft, alongside Strategic partners Nokia, HP,
Promethean and Temenos as well as leading Microsoft partners seized the opportunity
to showcase the latest innovations in the industry ranging from mobile solutions,
business applications and some of the most advanced hardware available in the market.
Microsoft and its partners organized a series of live demos and presentations for
experts and early adopters highlighting the company’s “cloud computing”
strategy, products and solutions for business and consumers.
With more people increasing need to be connected most of the time via mobile phones,
PCs and laptops, cloud computing focuses on delivering software, computing power
