Roots School System & Microsoft enter into Campus & School Agreement

Roots School Systems and Microsoft entered into a Campus & School Agreement  says a recent press release. Collaborating with market leaders and technology giants is one of the cornerstones of the RSS commitment to quality, excellence & Global outreach. Roots School System so far has been actively engaged with various Microsoft initiatives and Global forums since year 2010. Trainers from Roots Academy for Professional & Intellectual development RAPID have been trained on Microsoft Pre Service Training for Teachers and Institution Leaders and have been involved in a series of workshops.

Teachers from Roots School System also presented their projects on the platform of "Innovative Teachers Forum" in Jordan & Washington DC. As part of the Innovative Education Forum (IEF), Microsoft holds two competitions every year: Innovative Schools Program and Innovative Teachers Forum. Local offices of Microsoft all over the world organize such forums in their respective countries and then the winners compete at regional level. The winners from regional level then go to participate in World Wide Innovative Education Forum where winning teachers from regional forums and innovative schools selected from all over the world show case their projects.

Mr. Walid Mushtaq present at the signing ceremony said, "forging international collaborations is one of the cornerstones of the RSS 21st century learning and teaching approach. Roots School System Department of Information Communication Technology is committed to ensure that our students are provided excellent education that encourages integrated virtual teaching and learning thus promoting ICT as a common denominator to bridge digital divide. Roots School System remains keenly aware of its responsibility to prepare its students to become digital citizens and future technology leaders by equipping our class rooms with the right tools.

The signing of this agreement is a symbol of Roots School Systems commitment to use genuinely licensed version of the software across its campuses. The salient benefits of the agreement include new product versions e.g. Windows 7 Enterprise, Deployment benefits such as Windows Virtual Desktop access , training & e-learning opportunities. Roots School System is the first school in the North region to go for 200 licenses simultaneously.
