Microsoft Fosters Lebanon’s IT Culture with Experience 2013

Microsoft Lebanon held the Microsoft Experience 2013, an event that brought together Lebanon’s technology professionals to discover and experience the latest technologies from Microsoft and its partners available for businesses. The event which took place at Beirut’s Phoenicia Hotel on 12 December 2012, gathered many key players in the IT industry including Veripark, Netways and ICC, with an audience consisting of customers and developers, in an effort to foster Lebanon’s IT culture.

The event provided sector-tailored deep-dive sessions, revolving around technologies offered to the Finance, Retail and Telecom sectors, in addition to a special track for developers, as well as a special session for NGOs that raises awareness about technology use for children’s online safety.

With Experience 2013, Microsoft is building on its local partnerships to showcase the fruits of technology advancements and expand on possibilities for using and developing technology and driving growth. “We aim to boost and refresh our IT sector, which is an economic growth engine, with innovative ideas that add new capacities and long-term sustainability to businesses, bring new skills to our country’s human resources  and create new jobs that grow the economy”, added Younan.

The event included a series of presentations from Microsoft’s experts starting with the Future of the branch/Collaborative Customer Knowledge in Banking, followed by the Comprehensive enterprise resource planning - business management solution , Business Insight , Future of Productivity in Financial Services (Office 2013 ), the  Trustworthy Cloud Services and the Windows 8 Enterprise flexible work style scenarios.

In one of the biggest IT industry events in Lebanon and the region, Microsoft Experience 2013 provided a unique opportunity for attendants to experience the latest Microsoft offerings and benefits first-hand. A special flash mob inspired by the creativity and futurism of Windows 8 occurred during the lunch break, leaving the audience fascinated by the flashing lights, colors and dance moves.
