AT Group Deploys Microsoft Unified Communications Technologies to Reduce Costs and Streamline Communications
Solution was deployed by PAIS, Microsoft Certified Voice Partner
Amman August 2nd 2009

Amman, August, 2009 – AT Group has recently deployed Microsoft’s Unified Communications technologies, helping the company to immediately cut its operating costs by reducing the need for expenditure on travel, telephony and audio conferencing. ATG is the first company in Jordan to deploy Microsoft Unified Communications solution.

Microsoft’s Unified Communications solution, which includes Office Communication Sever and Exchange Server, has also increased the productivity of AT Group’s employees by streamlining their internal and external communication processes, enabling them to communicate and collaborate more effectively and efficiently regardless of location.

Mohannad Karriti, IT Director at AT Group said, “With the demands of our busy workplace and the diverse needs of our team members, it was important for us to look for the most effective ways to reduce costs, while still maintaining our competitive edge in the market.”

Karriti went on to say, “Furthermore, by bringing together e-mail, calendaring, voice mail, IM and presence, VoIP, audio, video, and Web conferencing, we have been able to streamline our communications process, allowing everyone at AT Group to communicate with each other more efficiently.”

Rafat Sumreen, Microsoft Technology Solution Professional for Unified Communications for the NEPA level, stated, “The Unified Communications solution that has been deployed at AT Group will primarily help them to reduce their operating costs, but at the same time, by making it easier for the company’s employees to communicate with each other, AT Group will also witness improved productivity from their team, faster execution of projects and an increased ability to share information and expertise across the entire company. The use of such collaborative technologies will also enable AT Group to expand its operations and geographic reach without incurring the costs of additional office infrastructure.”

Wajeeh Mishrekey, Managing Director of Professional Advanced Infrastructure Solutions (PAIS), stated, “Microsoft Unified Communications has provided AT Group with some great benefits that will help the company significantly increase its efficiency. Using a central repository, employees can now better manage their data and voice identities, resulting in improved security and a reduction in management overhead. Additionally, with the integrated management tool, staff members can manage their e-mail, data and voice usage using one single tool, providing different modalities to communicate depending on the status of the second party.”

Office Communication Server allows users to communicate in convenient and effective way, and provides an extensible platform for communications-enabled business processes. Microsoft Exchange Server enables organizations to achieve new levels of reliability and performance by delivering features that simplify administration, help protect communications, and provide users with significantly increased business mobility.
