I am currently using a previous version of Money Deluxe, Money Premium or Money Home & Business. Can I install the trial?
Yes. By default, Money Essentials Trial will install into a different folder than your current version of Money. However, because Money Essentials is designed for new users, you cannot open a previous Money file and will need to create a new file in Money Essentials.

    To do so:

  • Click the Start button on the task bar.
  • Point to Programs.
  • Choose Microsoft Money Essentials Trial.

  • The first time you run Money Essentials Trial, you will need to start a new file.

    To do so:

  • Launch your older version of Money from the Start Menu.
  • Click Open on the File menu and browse to the backup file.
  • If you uninstall Money Essentials in the future, you may need to reinstall your earlier version of Money from your original Money CD.
