Chapter 11: Anytime, Anywhere Access to Your Money Plus Data

The more you want to see your account transactions away from home, the more you’ll want to use Money Plus to access them. Whether you’re away on business or on vacation, you can securely access all your current account information anytime, anywhere.

Accessing your Money Plus data on the Internet

By using the MSN Money My Accounts service, you can:

  • View your financial information from any computer.
  • Update your account information automatically.
  • Pay your bills with MSN Bill Pay from both Money Plus and the MSN Money Web site.
  • Share your Money file with a partner or spouse.

To update your Money Plus data using MSN Money My Accounts:

Important
Before you can sign in to the Money Web site make sure you have a Windows Live™ ID (e-mail address and password).
  1. Make sure your Money Plus file is set up to access your Money Plus data from any computer.
    1. On the Tools menu, click Settings.
    2. Click Receive account updates from MSN Money My Accounts.
    3. If Receive account updates from MSN Money My Accounts appears, follow the instructions on the screen to complete setup. If the Stop downloading account updates from MSN Money My Accounts appears, your Money Plus file is already set up for Web access.

To set how often you receive automatic updates:

  1. On the Tools menu, point to Internet Updates, and then click Customize Updates and make whatever changes you want.

To update immediately:

  1. On the Tools menu, point to Internet Updates, and then click Update Now.

If you don't want to update your Money Plus data using MSN Money My Accounts, you can turn off that feature. If you decide later that you want to use some of MSN Money Plus's online resources, you can then turn the updating feature back on.

Tip
For each set of Windows Live IDs, only one Money Plus file can be updated using MSN Money My Accounts.
