The Anti-Phishing Working Group is a global industry and law enforcement association focused on the elimination of fraud and identity thefts that result from phishing and e-mail spoofing. At Microsoft, we work with the Group to help develop best practices and education on phishing, create threat models, conduct forensics, maintain a phishing data repository, identify problems and evaluate solutions, and partner with law enforcement authorities and legislators. |

Founded in 2004, the Authentication and Online Trust Alliance (AOTA) was created to facilitate best practices, data sharing, and deployment and implementation of e-mail and Internet authentication and reputation standards and solutions. AOTA is comprised of leading business, industry, and not-for-profit organizations who are working to improve trust and confidence in electronic messaging and the Internet. AOTA also hosts the industry’s annual Authentication Summit.

The E-mail Sender Provider Coalition was formed to fight spam while protecting the delivery of legitimate e-mail. Coalition members recognize the need for strong spam solutions that ensure the delivery of legitimate e-mail and have been active in the war against spam, including supporting the Sender ID E-mail Framework. The coalition is currently working on spam and deliverability solutions through legislative advocacy, technological development, and industry standards.
