The Visual Studio 97 Service Pack 3 CD is available for purchase over the Web as described in the How to order Visual Studio 97 Service Pack 3 section. MSDN Universal Subscribers will automatically receive the Service Pack in their Jan98 shipment.

If you have any questions or problems downloading and installing the Service Pack please see the Download Troubleshooting page. As a sanity check, the Vs97_sp3 directory for FULL should contain 297,817,271 bytes, 699 files, and 160 folders.

This set of download files consists of VSSP3_1.EXE, VSSP3_2.CAB, VSSP3_3.CAB, VSSP3_4.CAB, VSSP3_5.CAB, VSSP3_6.CAB, VSSP3_7.CAB, VSSP3_8.CAB, and VSSP3_9.CAB (approximately 10 MB each).

Download/setup instructions:

1. Download each file by clicking on it's link. You must download all files to one directory on your hard drive.
2. Expand the service pack by running VSSP3_1.EXE (double-click the file from your Windows Explorer, or to see potential error messages, run it from a MS-DOS prompt). This will create the directory Vs97_sp3.
3. Run SETUP.EXE from the Vs97_sp3 directory to install the service pack.
