More Information and System Requirements
System Requirements
To compile the sample controls and use them in the sample ASP.NET pages provided by the authors, you will need the Microsoft
.NET Framework Software Development Kit (SDK) on your machine. The .NET Framework SDK includes ASP.NET and all
the tools you need to use the sample files.
ASP.NET requires Micosoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP Professional, or Microsoft Windows .NET Server.
In addition, ASP.NET Web applications run within the Internet Information Services (IIS) Web server.
To use the solution file and related project files the authors have provided, you will need Microsoft Visual Studio .NET.
Installing the Sample Files
The download link opens a Web Package executable file containing a license agreement. To copy the sample files onto your hard disk,
click the link to run the executable and then accept the license agreement that is presented. By default, the sample files will be
copied to the folder C:\Book.
Along with the sample files is a Readme.htm file which describes the organization of the samples and provides directions
for installing them.
Removing the Sample Files
To remove the sample files, use Windows Explorer to delete the folder \Book and all of its contents.
