System Requirements  (Excerpted from the book's Introduction)

The examples in the book have been built and tested using Microsoft Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Windows .NET Server (Beta 3). Apart from the examples in Chapter 15, the code will also run using Microsoft Windows 2000 (SP2 recommended). You will also need to have Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and Microsoft Visual J# .NET installed.

To run some of the examples, you will also need the following:
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later
  • Internet Information Services
  • Microsoft .NET Framework Software Development Kit (SDK), which installs with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
Installing the Sample Files
The download link opens a Web Package executable file containing a license agreement. To copy the sample files onto your hard disk, click the link to run the executable and then accept the license agreement that is presented. By default, the sample files will be copied to the folder C:\VJSharpNET.

Uninstalling the Sample Files
To remove the sample files, use Windows Explorer to delete the folder \VJSharpNET and all of its contents.
