download the book's sample files.
Sample Files
Download the Sample Files (12.3 MB).
More Information and System Requirements
What’s in the Sample Files?
The sample files contain the following:
- Code Samples from the book
- Documentation that describes how to use the code samples
System Requirements
To use the sample files you'll need a system equipped with the following:
- Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP Professional, or Microsoft Windows Server 2003
- Microsoft Visual Basic .NET Standard 2003, Microsoft Visual C# .NET Standard 2003, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Professional 2003, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Developer 2003, or Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Architect 2003
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000)
The book is written for the .NET Framework 1.1 and Visual Studio .NET 2003. Most of the code will work
with version 1.0 of the .NET Framework, but all the code samples were tested using the .NET Framework 1.1
and Visual Studio .NET 2003. Some code samples require that you have SQL Server 2000 or MSDE 2000 installed. MSDE 2000 can be downloaded from the MSDE 2000 Download page.
Installing the Sample Files
To install the sample files, download and run the executable. By default, the sample files
will be copied to the folder C:\Microsoft Press\Programming ASP.NET and a virtual directory named ProASPNET will be created.
Uninstalling the Sample Files
To remove the sample files, make the appropriate selection from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
