System Requirements
To use the book, you'll need:
- Windows Vista, Windows XP with Service Pack 2, or Windows Server 2003.
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition, Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition, Microsoft Visual C# 2005 Express Edition, or a later edition of Visual Studio. (Visual C# 2005 Express Edition does not include a collection of the bitmaps and icons I've used in this book.)
- The .NET Framework 3.0 (included as part of Windows Vista).
- The .NET Framework 3.0 Software Development Kit (SDK).
- A computer capable of running this software.
All versions of the .NET Framework and software development kits are available from the Microsoft Web site:

Prerelease Software
This book was reviewed and tested against the June 2006 Community Technology Preview (CTP) of the .NET Framework 3.0. I expect this book to be fully compatible with the final release of the .NET Framework 3.0 and SDK, but if there are any changes or corrections, they will be collected in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article. For more information, see the Support Information section below.
Installing the Code Samples
After you download the code samples file to your computer, run the installer and follow the instructions that appear.
Uninstalling the Code Samples
To remove the code samples from your computer, make the appropriate selection from Add Or Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
