Microsoft Citizenship

Everyone has potential.

Sometimes you just need the resources to discover it.

Microsoft's 25-year history of community engagement has fostered a variety of key community partnerships built on the mutual commitment to find sustainable technology solutions that make real and lasting differences in people's lives.

Ultimately, Microsoft believes that by providing training and tools, we can partner to create social and economic opportunities that can transform communities and help people realise their potential.

In 2007 Microsoft donated $1.5 million worth of software to charities, voluntary and community groups in New Zealand. In the coming year we hope to triple the value of software donated.

Unlimited Potential
Microsoft® Unlimited Potential (UP) is the primary focus of Microsoft's corporate philanthropy efforts. UP is a global program, localised within New Zealand, focused on partnering with others to provide technology skills for underserved young people and adults through community-based technology and learning centres (CTLC's).

Software Donation Programme
Microsoft donates the latest software technology to eligible non-profit organisations around New Zealand.

Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher (MAR) Donation Program me
Microsoft's Authorised Refurbisher (MAR) Programme helps organisations donate or sell refurbished PCs to charities, community groups or disadvantaged individuals who are lacking access to technology.
