Windows Live Spaces will allow you to share all your memories with your friends and family. Create a custom theme for your Live Space and then incorporate your photos and video online.
The holidays are over! Now if I could just share my favourite seasonal moments with family sprawled across the world. But my annual intention always gets swept away in the rush of everyday life.
My goal this year is to get all those great holiday memories — photos, recipes, stories and video clips — into my Windows Live Space so I can share them with family and friends.
Creating a Windows Live Space is easy. All you need is a .NET login that comes with a Hotmail, Windows Live or MSN account. It’s easy to add, edit and change content on your space.
You can customise the theme of your space to reflect your own personal style. With over 100 themes available, there is bound to be one you like. The theme you choose determines the font, background colours, and images used on your space. To change your theme click customise > Themes, then choose a category name such as Animals, Nature or Occasions. Click the theme you want; Close and Save.

Every year we try to get the whole dinner table in one photo, but it just doesn’t work. With the free editing tools at Windows Live Photo Gallery, you can take several pictures of the dinner table and stitch them together for one big happy family photo! While you’re at it, improve your photos with simple crop and red-eye fixes.
Now that your photos are ready to share, head back to your Windows Live Space and go to customise > Modules > Photo. Close and Save. Once you have the module added to your page, you can Add or Edit an album at any time. Using the Browse button, select the best photos from your holiday events (such as the tree-trimming party) and upload them.
The next time you’re on Messenger telling your best friend about your gorgeous tree, you can also suggest a visit to your Windows Live Space photo album to see it.
Home movies are starting to shine online as we all get more tech savvy. Whether you have quick clips or extended videos, upload them and give Grandma something to really smile about.
To add your movies, go to customise > Modules > Video. Close and Save. Once you have the module added to your page, you can Add or Edit a video album at any time.
I’ll make sure to share all my new holiday memories, from decorating the tree to saying goodbye to last year, with those who couldn’t be with me — through my Windows Live Space.
