Windows Live is a collective name for many of the software and online services that Microsoft provides freely through the internet. The collection is very wide and frequently expanding; however this page explains the more popular services available in New Zealand.
Signing in with your Windows Live ID
In order to personalise these services, and access them from anywhere in the world, you'll need a free Windows Live ID (also formerly known as a Passport).
If you already use one of our services, (such as Hotmail) you'll already have a Windows Live ID that you can use on any other Windows Live service. You only need one login to access all the Microsoft services online, and you can easily sign-out of your ID should another friend or family member wants to use their while on your computer.
If you don't have a live ID, you can get one for free by visiting
