PhotoSynth provides a three dimensional view of a collection of thousands of images of an object or place, which allows you to seamlessly zoom in and out, and fly through a scene.
The crowds gathered in Auckland and Wellington to celebrate the Windows 7 launch, 7am Thursday 22nd October.
These two special events were captured in thousands of photos taken by more than a dozen photographers, and are currently being processed together to create two uniquely kiwi Windows 7 PhotoSynth moments.
Auckland Launch Event
Richie McCaw, another famous number 7, was in Auckland to buy the first Windows 7 laptop. This signed laptop is now available for auction on Trade Me with the proceeds going to the Lifelife charity.

Wellington Launch Event
Wellington got in on the act as well, creating a massive Windows 7 logo involving over 100 people who braved the weather for launch!
