Steven Carden is the author of New Zealand Unleashed: The Country, Its Future, And The People Who Will Get It There, published by Random House in July 2007 Steven is also Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, where he works on strategy issues for clients in the financial services, media, healthcare, logistics and telecommunication industries. Prior to joining the New Zealand office in early 2007, Steven spent three years serving North America’s largest companies out of McKinsey’s New York office. Prior to joining McKinsey, Steven was General Manager of internet retailer, FlyingPig, in New Zealand. Steven founded First Foundation, a non-profit organisation that provides New Zealand’s most talented, but financially disadvantaged secondary school students with work, mentoring and funding from New Zealand’s largest companies. Steven holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was awarded a Knox Fellowship and a Fulbright scholarship. He also holds an LLB and a BA from the University of Auckland. |
Doug Wilson | |
![]() | Doug Wilson has been a CEO and a consultant to some of the biggest companies in New Zealand including Gateway computers APL+ (a software development company that was a Provenco subsidiary) and EDS. Doug is currently the CIO of the NZ Automobile Association, one of the strongest brands in the country. With 1.2 million members, 1000 staff and offices in over 40 locations, it is a major consumer of ICT products and has relationships with all of the major telcos. Wilson says flexibility, keeping an open mind and managing change are key drivers for a successful career in ICT and beyond. |
