Join us in November for the last TechNet UNPLUGGED sessions of 2008. Come to two morning sessions and learn about Windows Vista Deployment, and deploying Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V and System Centre Virtual Machine Manager. Should you experience difficulties registering online, please call 0800 222 320 or email events@mss.co.nz to register. Session 1: Windows Vista Deployment using MDT 2008 and Configuration Manager 2007 Explore how you can leverage System Centre Configuration Manager 2007 and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2008 for automated unattended Windows deployments. Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2008 (MDT 2008), is the successor of Business Desktop Deployment (BDD) 2007. MDT unifies the tools and processes required for desktop and server deployment into a common deployment console and collection of guidance. The fourth generation deployment accelerator adds support to create a single path for image creation and automated installation. Join us for an overview of how to use MDT to build and deploy a Windows Vista image, and discussion of how MDT integrates with Microsoft’s System Centre management tools.Session 2: Deploying Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V and System Centre Virtual Machine Manager: Best Practices Find out how to deploy Hyper-V and VMM in a production environment including best practices. We cover guidance for bare metal provisioning and fine grain control of Hyper-V. From a virtualisation management perspective, the session covers the management architecture and top ten things to do as part of the deployment process. Demonstrations within this presentation highlight the features of Hyper-V and Microsoft System Centre Virtual Machine Manager 2008 in the context of the key Server Virtualisation scenarios.Agenda
