Applying for Funding

How to apply
All government agencies that are licensed under G2006 are invited to apply for Deployment funding each quarter. Agencies are required to submit the application form to the Steering Committee by the due date. The form is available from the programme manager at nzgovspf@microsoft.com.

The outcome of an application will be notified by the 15th of the month following the submission deadline. The anticipated project date must be within three months of submission and completed within a year of application, and before the agency’s G2006 agreement expires.

Eligibility
Any government agency that is licensed under the G2006 framework agreement is eligible to apply to this fund. The project must be for the principal purpose of enabling the government agency to deploy and realise the potential of the Microsoft products licensed under G2006.

Deployment funding may not:

  • Be used to purchase hardware or licensing
  • Be used to design, configure or implement non-Microsoft software
  • Subsidise Microsoft Premier Support Agreements

Getting selected
Selection of applications for funding is made by a Steering Committee.

Applications are assessed based upon the following factors:

Criteria
Quality of submission
Demonstrated degree of Executive sponsorship within the agency
Amount of co-funding offered by the agency (if any)
Alignment with eGovernment requirements(see below)
The degree of usage/deployment of the latest version of Microsoft products (desktop and/or server)
