Microsoft New Zealand invites all eligible students to use their imagination and passion to build an app, in one of our three competition categories.
The Microsoft Imagine Cup is the world’s most prestigious student technology competition, bringing together student innovators from all over the world. If you have a great idea for a new app, bring it to life through Imagine Cup. Over the past 10 years, more than 1.65 million students from 190 countries have participated in the Imagine Cup.
For the last few years, the theme has been to “imagine a world where technology solves the toughest problems we face today.” For 2013, we have broadened the Imagine Cup to allow any and all ideas. That’s right, from now on there is no required theme. There’s just you – you, and your app ideas. Want to save the planet? Want to make the next great game? Just want do something cool with technology? The door is open for you at the Microsoft Imagine Cup.
Our
2013 competition finished in March 2013! Congratulations to
Team InfinityTek who will represent New Zealand at the
World Finals in St. Petersburg, Russia, this July! Their victory has been covered prolifically across NZ press, and photos from the National Finals event are available on
SkyDrive . Team InfinityTek were selected as the NZ Champion out of
24 National Finalist Teams , themselves selected from 549 proposals from student teams across the country.
We are currently accepting app proposals for our
