Reed Shaffner

Reed Shaffner is a technical product manager working on the Microsoft Office team. Reed’s areas of focus include accessibility, sustained engineering (read, service packs), and anything pertaining to the IT professional. Prior to focusing on IT Pros, he served as the product manager for Microsoft Word. Unlike many of the speakers his background is not originally in computer science but rather genetics and more specifically, molecular evolution. When Reed isn’t spending his time on some topic involving technology or science (which is rare) he enjoys playing soccer, beer, and hiking all around the mountainous region surrounding Seattle.
