The OEM Cooperative Marketing Fund (Co-op) provides resources, in the form of reimbursements, to participating partners to help build market awareness for different versions of Microsoft products with partner PCs. The Co-op reimburses a portion of the costs associated with related marketing and readiness activities.

Image of two men at a computer Co-op funds accrue during each fiscal half year period (the "accrual period") during which partners meet the eligibility requirements of the Co-op. Participating partners may have these accrued funds available for claiming and reimbursement in the following fiscal half-year period (the "usage period") in accordance with published Co-op guidelines.

Image of mobile computing flyerDemand generation activities that drive awareness, interest and sales of Microsoft genuine software to customers. Demand generation activities include advertising methods such as print, broadcast media, and web advertising.

Market development activities that focus on building awareness and reaching potential customers face to face through activities such as tradeshows, customer events and seminars, sponsorships, and offers that support the sale of genuine Microsoft software and systems.

Partner readiness activities promote the development of Microsoft software expertise and include specific expenses related to training, technical certification, and Microsoft program fees.
