This month, we’re focused on helping you supplement the services you already provide by introducing the Skype OEM Preinstallation Kit, which allows you to bring this communication and collaboration technology to your customers while adding value to your Windows 7 PC images.
The OPK provides you with everything you need to preinstall Skype 5.8. And because Skype is now part of Microsoft, together we can enable more people to connect with each other in exciting new ways.
Many diverse opportunities exist for you, our OEM partner, to drive revenue, expand your business opportunities, and differentiate yourself in the marketplace. As a reminder, here are some opportunities to explore:
- Server CALs. Often overlooked is the opportunity to offer Server Client Access Licenses (CALs) when selling a server preinstalled with Windows Server software. To learn more about their benefits, be sure to review the “Calibrate Your Sales” training presentations.
- Worldwide Partner Conference 2012 Update. Get on track to build your business. Reseller sessions have recently been announced, and the keynote addresses feature many key Microsoft executives who will showcase the roadmap for the coming year and provide insights to help you grow your business.
- OEM Reseller Exam. Take Exam 70-684 to prove your expertise as an OEM reseller and help you qualify to earn a Microsoft OEM competency.
We know that there is a lot of excitement about Windows 8. Developments for Windows 8 continue to accelerate. Last month the Windows 8 Release Preview milestone was announced for June 2012. Along with this announcement, the Windows 8 App Developer blog was launched for those of you who are designing and developing great apps for Windows 8.
