Virgin Mobile India

Mobile Telecommunications Provider Improves Call Centre Management with Visual Performance Dashboard

Virgin Mobile India's call centre management needed to review important performance indicators in real time to ensure effective operations. However, their performance-report development processes were cumbersome, requiring manual data extraction, manipulation, and conversion to a visual form for presentation. To address this challenge, Virgin Mobile India developed a visual performance dashboard using Microsoft® Visio® Professional 2010 and Microsoft® SharePoint® 2010 to dynamically link Visio to its external contact centre data. The new solution provides users with dynamic, data-driven call centre dashboards that graphically illustrate performance through out-of-the-box functionality. Virgin Mobile India expects to realize a number of benefits, including 2,880 annual labour hours saved, a 5% improvement in percentage calls answered, and an increase in customer satisfaction.

Volvo Group

Volvo Group Increases Project Visibility and Control While Saving Employees Time

The Volvo Group is a leading supplier of commercial and consumer transport solutions and customer financial services. Volvo IT, which provides solutions to the Group to manage its projects, wanted to improve employee efficiency by extending current resource management, time reporting, portfolio management, and other project management processes. The Volvo Group implemented Microsoft Project Server 2010 and made customizations to adapt to various internal processes and software applications. The Group is using Project Server 2010 to improve capacity planning to build its long-term strengths. Because of the customizations and the rich but simple user interface of the Microsoft Project Web App technology, the Volvo Group has cut the time spent entering project data by 40 percent. It also has improved project visibility and control, and can now provide more transparent resource management.

Kemira

Chemical Company Actively Manages Project Resources and Costs for R&D

Kemira, a global chemical company, is initiating hundreds of projects to fulfill its new mission to help customers efficiently use and reuse water. To safeguard its investment, Kemira needed new project management processes and software. Kemira deployed Microsoft Project Server 2010, assisted by two Microsoft Gold Certified Partners: Tietotalo, which developed workflows to automate its new processes, and TPG The Project Group, which developed a link to its SAP enterprise resource planning solution. Kemira is using the rich reporting features of Project Server 2010 to improve decision making and its relationships with funding sources.
