  • Do you have Microsoft licenses that you don't have enough IT staff to deploy?

Hospital Moves Communication to the Cloud; Frees IT to Focus on Healthcare

Tampa General Hospital (TGH) was eager to embrace new approaches to healthcare delivery but first needed a flexible, robust communications foundation on which to build these capabilities. It determined that IBM Lotus Notes, its email program, was not that foundation and decided to dispense with an on-premises messaging infrastructure altogether, to free its IT staff from email maintenance. TGH switched to the Microsoft Business Productivity Online Standard Suite, part of Microsoft Online Services, to give all 7,000 employees access to cloud-based email messaging, collaboration, instant messaging, and web conferencing. TGH now has a flexible foundation on which to develop new ideas in healthcare delivery—and the resources needed to develop them. Cloud service costs are predictable, and email reliability is higher with software running in security-enhanced Microsoft data centers.

Solutions: GET CLOUD PRODUCTIVITY

Give your company cloud power.

Whatever the size of your business, the Microsoft Office 365 service can help you utilize the cloud to save time and money and free up important resources. Microsoft Office 365 is easy for your people to use because it combines the familiar Office desktop suites with cloud-based versions of communications and collaboration services from Microsoft. Office 365 is also easy to administer and is backed by the high level of security and reliability you expect from Microsoft.

Keep total control.

With Microsoft Office 365, IT control and efficiency isn't compromised. You're still empowered to deliver 24/7 IT professional phone support or support by electronic ticketing. Use a service health portal and RSS feeds to provide up-to-date service availability information. Take advantage of simplified management with a single administration center with role-based access control. Use remote PowerShell to allow scripting of routine tasks and access to raw data for reports. And you can utilize IT-friendly service update policies that put you in control.

Keep security tops.

With premium anti-spam and antivirus protection provided by multiple virus-scanning engines, Microsoft Office 365 helps you maintain a high level of security and reliability. For backup, data is replicated in geo-redundant data centers to protect against data center-wide failures. For more security, Microsoft Office 365 uses a multidimensional risk mitigation approach to help you safeguard services and data privacy and to even help you comply with certain regulatory requirements.

Stay flexible.

One size never fits all. Our approach is to offer licensing that embraces the flexibility needed to mix and match cloud with on-premises over time and also by workload and user type. In addition, there are pay-as-you-go pricing options that give you the predictability and flexibility you need.
